Yadaorao Poshattiwar Arts College was established in 1999 as a result of the vision of late Shri. Yadaorao Poshattiwar, the Founder President of Adarsha Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Talodhi (Ba.). It was his vision to see the rural students of the surrounding area get higher education through which their life-standard be enhanced with overall personality development. The college has completed fourteen years of its establishment and has been catering to the needs of students who are almost the first generation learners belonging to agrarian and backward sections of society. The teaching and non-teaching staff have been putting heart and soul to effectively contribute to enhance the quality of life of villages not only by improving academic standards but also by means of community-reach activities. Adv. Nanasaheb Poshattiwar, the Secretary of the Adarsha Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Talodhi (Ba.), furthered his father’s dream and developed the institution in a short time. Under his able and committed leadership the college got permanent affiliation and is recognised under 2(f) and 12 (b) under UCG Act, 1956. Now the college is looking forward to the NAAC assessment.
